The Felt Painting Process

  • Colour palette selection.
  • Carding the wool with hand carders ( I look forward to purchasing a drum carder soon) .
  • Laying the dry wool fibres out.
  • Wet felting process.
  • Time to dry.  
  • Fine details can be needle felted in.
  • Free motion & hand embroidery can be added if required.

When working with wool, you need to be calm, not tense and flustered; this is very evident when pulling the fibres apart.
