Painting is always something that I knew was within me. It was only in recent years I explored this more seriously. This involved not only learning about colour, tone, values and techniques but also much reflection and observation on my surroundings. This is at the core of my work. I do not define myself by any particular style or era but put simply, I paint what I enjoy painting
