Helen Woods
Growing up on the Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland, I was inspired by the force of nature. This is seen especially in my coastal scenes which introduce the viewer to the power of the sea, captured using encaustic wax fused onto board to create art of an abstract nature.
Recent works include landscapes of the Wicklow and Wexford hills which surround my studio in Gorey, Co Wexford. Forest scenes influenced by my love of my surroundings , incorporate material to increase the depth and texture of the pieces.
