Dorothee Roberts
I was born in France in 1961
1978 – 1982 Studied in ESAG, Paris, (Ecole Superieure d’Art Graphique).
1983 Came to Ireland and married an Irish man.
When painting, I am always fascinated by the colours and how they get on or not together. As time goes by, I am more and more attracted by coastal rocks.
The power which emanates from them, their density, their relationship with the sea, their strength and majesty, their delicate colours gives me the wish to convey these emotions in my paintings.
